We all know that this is such a huge crime that continues to grow; especially as more and more people have access to the internet. Well that is the main reason that the Identity Theft and Assumption Deterance Act was passed in 1988. This means that anyone who is caught committing this crime can get up to 15 years of imprisonment.
While this term may scare you and I the truth is that every 3 seconds someone’s identity is stolen.
